A special celebration for our 70,000th baby...

Sue Imgraben - Chief Executive Officer
Calvary North Adelaide Hospital

“Sponsoring a World Vision baby for the first 5 years of their life is not only in keeping with our values here at Calvary, but it is a special gift for our 70,000th baby knowing that when they start school they have supported a child less fortunate than themselves for the first 5 years of their life....”

70,000 babies

Our 70,000th baby since the opening of the Maternity Unit in 1940 was born on December 3, 2010. In recognition of this special event we celebrated with two special gifts.

The Parents...

The parents of the 70,000th baby received a gift of $5000 from Calvary North Adelaide Hospital to celebrate their new special gift, a beautiful baby boy they named William. The parents generously choose to donate $3000 to a project Calvary Hospital is running in East Timor for underprivileged women and children.

World Vision sponsorship

On behalf of Baby William, Calvary North Adelaide Hospital has sponsored a World Vision baby, also born in 2010. This support will continue for the first 5 years of their life to the value of $5000, giving a child in a Third World Country a helping start.

Baby William will be connected to this World Vision child and as he grows up he will be able to see the positive benefits his gift has brought to his sponsored child and their community.
